Make Ready Centres enable SeCamb to prepare their ambulances in a specialist centre that cleans, restocks and checks equipment on the vehicles at the beginning and end of each shift. This new centre was developed at the existing ambulance regional HQ and fleet workshop, which was demolished. A tried and tested approach of a ‘drive through’ principle, which provides a vehicular loop on which the ambulances move through, delivers an efficient method of maintaining and reducing static time.
